Larix Masterclass pt. 1

Published by Unknown under , on 22:05

Saturday I took the Larch in stump to the masterclass with Master Gaetano Settembrini.
The plant was still in the box of polystyrene in which I had bought, fact that predictably affected in part the day.
The plant has a long frontal root and with the correct inclination the branches are arranged to retrieve a style raft has more than stumps, so Master suggested to tilt the tree towords the observer.
Left branches (or trunks) are well placed so a good wiring will be enough to move them in the right spot, The righter instead needs some more help. This means tha the wire or what we're going to use needs a more resistant pot in the case we need some fixing point.
I have some plastic box moreover the good size so I planned a quick moving in the next days, without touching the roots.
I the cleaned and prepared the plant. I removed all the bifurcations leaving individual plants, with branches eliminated I prepared some jin which will then be shortened.
The "trunks" are now a total of 5 with the right to represent a lonely plant grew on the edge of the forest, To reduce the massive thickness and the cylindrical shape of trunk at the bottom under the jin I create a shari that streamlines the plant.

Photos depart from the days after the purchase so far, the next masterclass will be in November and for that period the plant will have lost the needles so it will be more easy to wire. Just can't wait
