Busy

Sono stato molto preso negli ultimi giorni quindi i post si sono diradati.
E' ricominciata anche l'attività del club e quest'anno ci saranno delle belle giornate da passare tutti assieme, inoltre ora seguo la parte relativa a G+ del Bonsai Do Groane (date un occhio al link troverete tutte le date dei nostri incontri), insomma si prospetta un bel po' di impegno.
Per quanto riguarda le piante ho dato un'occhiata alla Zelkova nel vaso con roccia... e stavo pensado di fare tante piccole margotte per ricavare delle piantine dato che la pianta non mi convince molto. L'altra zelkova (quella ricca di pieghe) potrei abbassarla molto e trasformarla in uno shohin o un mame, tanto per come è ora non ha un grande futuro.
La nuova pyracantha molto probabilmente verrà posta in un vaso di coltivazione o addirittura in terra piena per qualche anno.
A causa delle temperature davvero alte (ieri 16°, forse il meteo si è dimenticato che è gennaio) il chaenomeles ha già iniziato ad aprire qualche gemma, ho la pianta solo da quest'anno quindi non conosco le sue tempistiche ma mi sembra comunque molto precoce.
Giovedì sera porterò al club il nuovo ginepro per studiarlo bene e avere qualche consiglio.

I've been busy these days so my posts are fewer.
New season of the club it's started and it will be a very full year. I also manage the G+ page now so if you want to Know all our meetings and adctivity just follow our Bonsai Do Groane page.
Talking about the plants; I checked out both the pot with rock zelkova and the retort one.
I'm thinking of a series of air layering for the first one, to obtain small plants, since the shape doesn't convinces me. The retort it's so unnatural that I'm planning a good cut to achieve a shohin or maybe a mame style.
The new pyracantha simply has no conicity and for that I will probably put it in a large cultivation pot or maybe in pure soil for a couple of years.
Strange fact (or not so strange since the temperature is really high: 16°C/60°F degrees yesterday) the chaenomeles has already opened some buds. It's the first year I have this bonsai so maybe it's the correct time but it seems to me a little early.
Thursday I'll take my new junipers to the club to analize it and see what to do about it.
