The kumquat layering

E' stato un weekend molto attivo dal punto di vista dei lavori sulle piante. In particolare sabato mattina ho rinvasato qualche pianta (ci sarà un post apposta) e ho messo a dimora il mandarino cinese su cui avevo provato a fare la margotta.
Dalle foto si vede bene come le radici fossero ben sviluppate e la pianta sembrasse pronta al rinvaso.
Le radici si sono sviluppate in maniera radiale (potrebbero sviluppare un buon nebari) tranne in un punto dove il tronco presentava un nodo, in quel punto ho raschiato un pochino la corteccia sperando che da li si possa sviluppare una radichetta.
Ho messo la pianta in un ampio vaso con un substrato di pomice mista ad akadama.
Ora rimarrà in questo vaso per almeno un paio d'anni.

It has been a full bonsai works weekend. I've repotted some plants (I will talk about it in a future post) and I also put the Kumquat layer in to a pot.
Watching the pics you can see the well developed roots; they grew in a very radial shape only missing in a single spot where a knot was, now i scrape the trunk in that point to achieve the growing of some future roots.
I choose a pumice-akadama mix soil for the pot where the plant will stay for at least a couple of years.
