Mulberry Layering

Ecco un'altra margotta, questa volta sul gelso. L'ho preparata ieri seguendo una traccia disegnatami dal Maestro Gaetano Settembrini che andava a sfruttare la parte più larga del tronco.
La pianta così diventerà più bassa e con un miglior nebari (questo per lo meno è quello che spero)
Nel substrato ho messo terriccio e pomice e dovrà essere tenuta costantemente umida per favorire lo sviluppo delle radici.

Another air layering, this time on the mulberry, I've made it yesterday. I follow Master Gaetano Settembrini hints, esing the larger part of the trunk, by this way I will obtain a lower plant with a better nebari (at least is what I hope).
For the substrate I mixed pumice and soil and it has to be costantly watered to keep an high humidity level.
