A new hope

Oggi è successo qualcosa di davvero piacevole.
Forse vi ricorderete che avevo quasi perso le speranze di vedere realizzata la margotta di gelso, vi rimando al link, nella parte finale del post troverete dei commenti a riguardo.
Quello che non avevo riportato è che durante l'estate (dopo aver dato per perduto il tentativo) ho deciso di reincidere in parte la corteccia e di aggiungere dello sfagno per mantenere l'umidità.
Oggi sono andato a togliere la rete della margotta dalla pianta pensando di prepararla per il cambio di stagione e con mia grande sorpresa ho trovato delle radici che spuntavano!
Dalle foto si nota che le radichette non sono molte ma ho deciso per un veloce rinvaso di mantenimento si può dire; che ha conservato gran parte delle radici originali e quelle della nuova margotta.
Per assicurare buon drenaggio ma anche umidità elevata ho posto uno strato molto largo e ventilato sul fondo, un substrato ricco con anche parti di sfagno e di terriccio e soprattutto sulla superficie sfagno e muschio in quantità.
La pianta è in ottima salute e sono molto fiducioso che la parte margottata possa sviluppare delle buone radici (per quanto non siano disposte in maniera radiale su tutto il tronco) così da essere staccata dal resto della parte bassa.

What I haven't wrote it's that one afternoon in july I decide to open the layer, scrap some more bark add some sphagnus and close back the layering.
My thought was that since the layering didn't go well but it was still there I could do a little attemp just to try.
Today I moved to the plant to remove the layering and prepare the plant for the season change and with so much surprise I found some new roots right on the new layering part.
Looking at the pictures you can notice that the roots are small but I decide for a quick maintenance repot. 
I just cut a little the original roots and put the plant in a draining but with some humidity capacity soil.
I put some large pumice in the pot the around the roots a more rich substrate with also sphagnum and soil. And then some more sphagnum on the top of the pot.
The plant is in a good shape and I'm am confident that the new roots can grow enough to cut away the lower part of the trunk.
