Growing

Questa confusione di piante che vedete è la zona del mio orto dove sto facendo crescere i piccoli aceri montani sfruttando la tecnica del ramo di sacrificio.
Direi che dopo il primo anno di assestamento in questa stagione la spinta vegetativa è stata davvero vigorosa, dando buoni risultati.
Come si vede in alcune foto ho pinzato il primo ramo e lasciato crescere il ramo d'apice che provvederò a rimuovere appena sarà finita la spinta. Tagliando bene a raso tenterò di ottenere un tronco più conico possibile.
La prossima primavera darò anche un'occhiata alle radici per disporle al meglio.

On this small mountain maple I'm applaying the sacrifice branch technique.
After a year of settlement the plants are now growing vigorously. In early spring i pinched the lower branch to let grow the apex branch to enlarge the trunk, whenever the vegetative growth will stop i will cut the sacrifice branch. Keeping an eye on the conicity of the trunk.
During next spring I will also check the root position.
