Kumquat

Ho rinvasato il mandarino cinese che era in vaso di coltivazione dopo la margottata.
C'è poca letteratura sugli agrumi bonsai, e scegliere il periodo giusto per i lavori non è sempre facile. Ho deciso di affrontare il rinvaso in questi giorni perché le piccole gemme sembrano pronte ad aprirsi.
Non ho esagerato con la potatura delle radici, ne ho rimosso circa un terzo.
Ho usato un substrato fine misto con anche un po' di kanuma. Ora la parte ardua sarà la costruzione della ramificazione fine.
Penso che la piantina e la specie stessa si adattino bene al tipo di vasetto.

I have repotted the air layered kumquat, which was in a cultivation pot since a couple of years.
There's a little literature about citrus in the bonsai world, so it's always a matter of personal feelings on when or how work on the plant.
Since the little bud are appearing I decided to go with the works.
I removed about on third of the roots, the substrate is fine and mixed with a little amount of kanuma in it.
Now I have to work on the ratification, not an easy task.
I think that the plant looks fine in this pot.
